I’m Travis Jenkins, and helping people through life is really what I do best. That might surprise you coming from a mortgage lender, but here's my story.

For over 20 years, I pastored churches — doing everything from mopping floors to serving as senior pastor. That season taught me that life's biggest moments are better when you have someone walking alongside you. From there, I spent two years as a hospice community liaison, sitting with families in some of their hardest seasons. What I learned is simple: people just want to be helped, heard, and guided with honesty.

That's what brought me to mortgages in May of 2022. I opened Wheatland Mortgage in May of 2023 with one goal — to bring that same concierge-level care to helping people buy homes, refinance, and invest. As a local lender backed by a nationwide network, I help first-time buyers, relocating families, and investors navigate FHA, VA, and conventional loans with clarity and confidence.

Off the clock, my real team is my family — my wife Rachel and our three kids: Kade, a college sophomore; Sesily, a high school junior; and Hayze, who's in the sixth grade. We're #TeamJenkins, and that's exactly how I treat my clients — like family.
